I spent yesterday at the Handfasting of Bill and Dori. I was not feeling well and afraid I may loose my voice. It also threatened to pour on us. All that worry for nothing really. I was a little loopy from the medicine, but in decent health. It was a fantastic day!!! Aside from a little rain at opening circle, courtesy of the mighty force representing the west, the weather was just right! Not too hot, not too cold, sun came out at all the right times.
Bill looked sharp! I was a little disappointed that he left his armor and battle axe at home, but looked as right as he could without them. Dori was lovely! She had on a sari that was perfect for her. More over, they were perfect together. I was honored to be invited to witness it.
The friends and extended family who help make it happen was touching to witness, I was in awe to see how many care for them. The officials, gasbarri and herne51, did a fantastic job! The MC and grill master of the day, sir thatcaptjim, was also a rock star! The ritual team, Sean Ciall and company that did the arch, W and D who managed the kitchen, drummers, Photographers, The young Books who helped, all those who did all the little extra things were on my mind the whole day as it unfolded. There was care for them everywhere.
It was a good day!
