I love Dante. Just - love.

Hi Everyone~

So I didn't update for a few days, mostly because of homework. And of course, because I'm obsessively playing DMC3. Yarggg, I love that game, it's so theraputic. I love playing Dante, and I can't wait to play DMC4.
It's just so goddamn gorgeous, no matter how shitty the dialogue or story is. And I hate to admit it, but...Dante and Vergil are my OTP.

But moving right along! I've really gotten into Hetalia, and of course I draw Matthew (Canada) all the time. I think our newfie stereotype is just too fun to leave alone in theses cases. Other than that, pretty quiet so far. I had no class today, so I just went to the gym mwaah! *feels so healthy*.

I guess the one thing I can do is rec something for you guys. So here you go, you get Naomi Klein!

The Shock Doctrine: Naomi Klein

Regardless of how you feel about free-market capitalism, reading this book will help you understand so many different issues happening today. More than an argument against a particular system, it is a call for democracy, justice, and fair debate in all forms of political change.

Klein happens upon an important idea called the "Davos Dilemma", which contradicts the idea that global trade would bring world peace. She ties this in to the lack of progress in peace between the Israelis and Palestinians since the 1990s, linking that to the burgeoning homeland security bubble that Israel now offers the world with the slogan, "it's our birthright".

Her research is massive, meticulously documented and laid out in fluid, accessible and intriguing stories.

Well I think that's it, I'll probably have more to say when more actually happens, but today was quiet. Mm, some blueberry tea and I think I'm good to go. Gotta sharpen up my Dante skills~!

Have a good Wednesday guys!

yaoi, dante, devil may cry, art, reading
