There’s something almost morbid about trying to catch a feeling. You know that this feeling won’t last, so you try to capture it in words. How cruel to unjustly hold something, maintain it’s life through the incapability of words. I’m reminded of Futurama where the heads of the celebrities were kept in jars of formaldehyde. What kind of an existence is that?
A feeling doesn’t have a long life. They are fated to pass away with the moment. All we are left with are memories. So, I think I will conclude with saying: preserve the memory and not the feeling.
