[Video] [Visible to all of Adstringdum] [I]

[The video starts to Arthur sitting in a dark, rather indistinguishable room. He's wearing a white shirt with a perfectly tied tie, his hair brushed back but starting to go a little fluffy due to the lack of proper mousse. He hits a few buttons to make sure it's working, then looks into the camera. He's obviously technologically savvy enough to ( Read more... )

I'm afraid we have no lost and found here.

Could it be dangerous if someone else than you found it back?

That depends on what you mean by dangerous.

It's not dangerous on its own, no.

I guess that's already something.

So I take it you mean it's only dangerous if people use it for bad purpose... Or maybe that finding it is not enough, you need to know how it works too?

Both, actually.

There's nothing inherently dangerous about it, or what it can do. It's more how it's used. It could be used for purely experimental and artistic purposes. Or, there are other purposes as well.

Hmm. Is it a magical artefact or a device we're talking about here?

It's a mechanical, scientific device.

It's called a PASIV.

A PASIV? I'm afraid I've never heard of that before.

Do you absolutely need one? Because if that suitcase of yours wasn't brought here with you, it might take you a bit of time to make a new device from scratch here.

It stands for Portable Automated Somnacin IntraVenous device.

And at the very, very least, I need Somnacin. The device makes everything...safer and neater.

Somnacin? Is this a drug or something?

Yes.

That might be kinda hard to find too. Unless you know how to synthesize it.

Not my area of expertise. I'll need a chemist for that. Know of any?

Well they're not exactly "chemists", but we have a few wizards and alchemists here. [After all potion making, alchemy and chemistry are close areas of expertise, aren't they?] They might be able to help you if you can provide them with the right ingredients.

Or explain to them the uses of the drug, perhaps? I don't know what it's made of.

Possibly.

Come to think of it, maybe you'd better go to the clinic. Provided these uses are basic enough, the healer, Mrs Unohana, might have something else with equivalent properties to give you.

They're basic, and yet not. Somnacin brings about a heightened, lucid dream-state. It's not just a sedative - it's more neurological than that. But maybe she knows what it is?
