today held the best and worst ten minutes of my life.
so i was unpacking boxes of merchandise to put away. after going through several boxes of mugs and tea and all that shit, i got to a box of cds. and yes, it was beck's new cd! a whole stack of them with a big label "don't open until 3/29" (the release date)
so, after screaming in shock at my discovery, i promptly asked william if i could open them and buy one right this instant. he said i could at the end of my shift (which ended in 30 minutes) so naturally, i humped his leg until he let me leave early and i bought two copies of the smartest man in the world's new cd. i ripped it open and started to leave, feeling more content than i may have ever felt. then, rick, my manager stopped me and made me return both copies...even the open one and wait until the 29th! fuck! terrible! right?
fuck! it was awful. now i have to wait like a commoner. i mean what are the odds that loser starbucks would sell brilliant beck's cds. slim to none. and i was in charge of opening them! it was fate! fate that was ruined by the devil (rick).
