so... walkonpluto approached me and told me she might have plans to kidnap oppars and take over the world save this wasteland   that has been 2pm fics, and having been personally devastated by the drought of course i said "OMG YES". the fandom is huge but there is no fics.. and it makes me sad. ;___;

sooo.. she suggested a minibang (we're looking at 3000 ( Read more... )

minibang, writing, saving the world, random

I agree that the 2pm fic fandom needs to be salvaged. ,_, I went on a hiatus, came back and started posting a chapter-a-day of a fic, and over the space of 3-4 days, only one person other than me had posted something. I was like "...............;^;"

I'd be interested in participating, but I've never been a part of something like this before, and I just have a bad feeling that I wouldn't get it done and just let the team down o-o /fails
But I'd like to try ^^

yes, sadly it has been very quiet, and i guess that makes me agree when someone came to me and asked if i want to organize it with her.

well thats why i asked for time frame, and we're pretty lenient about this, because its not a competition and there is no blacklists, just want to help fuel some people to get back to writing. its nice knowing that you'll be interested :) will keep you posted if we decide to really do it. YAYers :D

It made me wonder if loads of people have gone over to asianfanfics or something... :/ But the majority of the quality of the writing on that site is just X_X

A one-month time frame sounds pretty good. I've finished college now so I have more free time, but other people might have exams around about now :/

Could we work on half-written fics as part of this? It might just give me a kick-start into finishing one XD

I WONDER THAT TOO. but yes the quality is a bit questionable.. and idk why would people move from LJ to there. i might sound like a snob for saying this but idk once you get to LJ you cant go back to AFF. lol.

onedaybb is doing a big bang maybe you can join that ^^ not sure if we are doing ours now :) im sure they dont mind half-written fics? idk actually e_e

It just seems like most of the writers on there are like... 12. And the amount of time it takes to find a fic without spelling mistakes JUST IN THE FOREWORD is a joke -_-
I've only recently started posting my stuff there too, but I like LJ more T^T It feels so much more... personal on here, if you know what I mean? ...I'm not sure if that's the right word @_@

I just saw the min. word count and the deadlines of the ondaybb and all I saw was the word PRESSURE in huge, flashing red letters. I've got a chaptered fic that I'm planning atm that will most definitely be over 10k words but.... I don't know o-o
Ah well, the sign up deadline is in a few weeks, so I guess I'll think about it ^^

IKR! im so glad im not the only one feeling like that lol. i stopped posting my stuff in there because well.. i dunno doesnt quite feel at home there.. and yes i like it so much more here maybe cos i've been here for ages. lol

awwww. well 10k for me is a lot. i struggle just to write 2/3k words. eh.. im just not made for long stuff. heh. we're now thinking to make.. like a forum instead where you can have mini challanges and discussions and everything.. so if you are still keen i can post it later when its ready in my lj. kk :D

it really does! I think it's because for a lot of us, kpop isn't our first fandom, so we all bring something different to the mix!

oh wow, another Australian??? I'm actually teaching in Korea at the moment but before that I lived in Brisbane, whereabouts are you from? small world lmao!

and I haven't been on lj for aaaaaaaages, I was thinking of getting rid of my account so I cleaned up all my interests but left that one there for the lolz :P
