So I'm kinda' on this crank about immortallity
I wrote this on January 11th 2009
“We will live forever and you know it's true
and you know it's true.” Elephant Six Holiday Surprise Tour 2008
This statement might sound arrogant coming from someone you don't know. For me it just sounds like poetry, an honest statement about the achievements of the people immediately around you. Because I know that we are making a mark, that our voices will be heard and that we will be remembered. Even if none of us ever scratches their name on the pages of a history book we will become a cult folklore. Singing advice from centuries past to descendants far enough they might never know our names but still, our ways will ring in there ears until they know our love.
I see today that Yeboseph is nothing new and that beauty really is, like a record, meant to be broken transformed replaced and reborn. So the thoughts of we that survive generations innumerable won't be you and I, but still the songs of the generations before.
