(no subject)
This semester has been insane. Never again am I taking 9 credit hours in a summer term. That's like taking 18 credits during the year. I understand that many people can handle it, and they don't mind the craziness. I can handle the stress, but I certainly don't want to repeat it! I'm sure I'll do well in my classes, but it would be nice to not feel pulled in 10 different directions.
My family is going to Philadelphia at the end of August, and I am so excited! I realize it is not as awesome as going to Mexico, but it will still be a nice break! Only two more weeks until the end of summer term, then Philly, then I'm visiting MSU, and then I have a whole week of absolutely nothing planned. Glorious.
So yeah, you registered voters should get out to the polls tomorrow (today because it's after midnight). It's the primaries and you get to vote whether or not the Livonia School Board should be recalled. Just so you know, you can't split your ticket. Not like I would want to, but some people might! If you're not registered, then get yourself registered so you can vote in November. Hopefully, we can replace Granholm and Stabenow...or maybe you want to keep them...whatever just get out there and vote! Or don't complain when things in Michigan are not going as you would like. I mailed my absentee ballot today so I'm hoping it gets there on time. I applied late for a absentee ballot application so it didn't arrive until Saturday. That was very bad on my part.
So this year my two best friends will be in East Lansing, my boyfriend will be in Big Rapids, my family will be in Livonia, and I will be in Kalamazoo. There is something significantly wrong with this picture. At least the past two years I've had Dave to keep me company. Maybe I'll have to actually start making real friends out here. What a crazy concept.
