To all who came to the Philharmonia concert, thanks. I know it was a long one, believe me, I had to sit through it too (and I was right next to the out of tunes and the wrong notes).
But there was a moment, during the piece i liked, the Goldmark... I realized that I was playing the melody, and alone - the only others playing were supporting strings. And it was only for a measure or two that I was alone, but I was able to step outside of myself for a moment and I suddenly heard my sound reverberating in Pick. And it was so beautiful. I've been waiting 4 years to hear that sound, and it was just so overwhelmingly pretty.
I'm sure it was probably sharp or doesn't sound pretty on the recording, but at that moment it was just great... It was just a really special moment for me. And I know no one else noticed or cared or understood it as anything else, but to me it was a culmination of my 4 Philharmonia years, and the music I've had here. Just a beatiful few notes (despite the worst concert I've been a part of here).
It felt so rewarding, and i wish I could have shared it, but, again, I'm probably the only one who heard.
