Just when I am beginning to feel vaguely solvent, I get soaked with an Inland Revenue bill 'on account' for over 700 smackers. Sheesharama. With pilau rice.
Sooner or later I will have to a serious DVD-watching session. I recently bought a cheap copy of THE LAST WALTZ, I have been lent THE BIG LEBOWSKI, and my niece has also proudly let me borrow RETURN OF THE KING and THE MUPPETS' CHRISTMAS CAROL.
My fanged friend in Portland has just written to me out of the blue. We have a correspondence going back three years, sporadic at best, but no sign of it letting up; and we've never met. Curious what the internet will throw up sometimes.
