The Baguio Botanical Gardens
you'd think i'd have a lot of awesome shots from a place called the "botanical gardens," wouldn't you?
think again!
...actually a lot of places in the park are nice, but i'd expected more i guess. many of the pics here don't blow up to full size. my cell phone's automatic focus function may be damned, but it is also my friend.
the lagoon in front of the "greenhouse gallery," a place for kids to learn about the greenhouse effect. i wasn't able to go into the gallery itself, not feeling particularly... kiddish.
chanced upon a unicef crew filming at the entrance to the gardens. didn't stick around to know what they were featuring. chances are we'll never catch it on TV anyway.
baguio is also famous for its steel products. these knives and swords were being sold at the entrance.
i vividly remember my sister and i once sat inside one of these houses so my mother could photograph us. we were probably around 4 and 6. it was one of the pictures we'd lost in one of the many floods. it's a model of a traditional mountain folk house.
statue of igorot woman with basket.
i didn't know dandelions existed anywhere in the country. but well, if there are daisies...
closeup of a dandelion stalk before i huffed and puffed the living daylights out of it. it looks a lot like my default usericon, doesn't it? (not clickable)
