ptiza_schastya asked for some Filipino terms for food in an earlier post in the tagalog community. I thought it would be fun to start compiling a list of these things, but there are just so many... so I decided to at least make a list of Tagalog translations for common vegetables and fruits

out of curiosity, which dictionary do you use?

i used to have the english-tagalog and tagalog-english volumes by fr. leo james. i kind of neglected them and the next time i saw them again, they were drenched in floodwater and ripped to shreds.
