Day Eighty-Four: Mindblowing Love
Day Eighty-Four: John 15:1-25 / Revelation 10 + 11
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. - John 15:9
This has to be the most incredible verse ever. As the Father loved Jesus so Jesus loves us. Or, how about this? As God loves God, so God loves you. You know the intimate community relationship that exists between Father, Son and Holy Spirit? The depth of that relationship; the richness of love between something that is 'one'; the vast nature of that love... that's the same way that God has loved you.
And what's our response? We are commanded to remain in that love.
Surely our daily prayer has to be "God, reveal in a deeper way the way you love me and help me to remain in that love." He has done everything for us! This is mindblowing love that defies all logic. Yet it's true. He went to the cross to demonstrate it. Wow. I'm totally humbled by all that God has done for me.
