this is what i was doing in Albuquerque a few weeks ago... this is the vault of the First National Bank, which is currently being renovated as luxury condos in the downtown district.
her chin needs to be a tad higher i think...slightly to the left of the picture more...back arched slightly more.
i dig the setting though.
the dress/curtain- i wish it had more texture...at first glance it's a bit moving... but then i become underwhelmed by the simpleness. Reminds me of older Japanese Video Game Character art... restrained by technology not by artistic inspiration.
this isn't really a negative comment... just constructive thoughts about it... some of which have nothing to do with your actual skill.
thanks, brandon, i actually really enjoy hearing stuff like this! =]
i hear you about the pose, but this was her first time modeling - this makes things a little difficult for me, but she did a very good job, all things considered. i should have put her neck/choker in front of the side of the vault, so it didn't blend in with the blackness of the opening.
and you obviously miss out on the texture with low-res versions like this on the web... this isn't really how they're meant to be viewed. the edges of the dress are actually dyed with ink, it's an interesting effect.
I noticed the slight fade and that did win me over to a degree- but with the purple corset it just didn't melt together having such a simple texture IMO. There needs to be a bridge of some sort combining the two very different colors. All in all- a cool costume- but I think it could have been more fully realized.
Pose wise- I'm sure she'll do fine in the future- for her first time, she did well then =) I dont do a lot of modelling for other people- but I do it for myself~ so I feel like I know which angles typically get the best effect.
Anyway, keep up the fine work. It's wonderfull to see your career going places.
