Okaaaayyyyy....
It's now official. I'm moving. I know I said I was but since it's not for another 2/3 months, it just didn't seem real. But now it does. You know, once you actually start buying the furniture, it's pretty real.
So I bought a sofa. Not my personal favorite (someday ^_^), but a pretty good one just the same. Lots of leather and that new micro-suede stuff. Really, Really soft...and comfortable. I was going to wait til closer to the move-in date but one of the furniture stores was having the "mother-of-all-sales"! And a pretty good deal it was, too. Paid less than one third of what it normally goes for. And should hold up to the wear and tear of one teenage daughter and her cat.
Here's a pic, for the curious. Ignore the atrocious pillows. Those will be replaced.
The pic shows it as a light chocolate brown but actually it's rich dark chocolate with espresso-colored leather. So having gone all in on a sofa, I also got a Dining room bistro set with leather swivel seats. No more bending at the knees so far that you can't get back up out of the chair....I love it.! And another great deal as it was part of the great sale. Here's a picture...
I just love the whole clean lined look of these pieces. Really zen-like, I think. I'm going to go with blue and some other as of yet undecided color as accents. I found some wonderful pillows, and dishes at The World Market that will go great with this stuff. Which I plan on buying...as soon as I get paid anyway.
Next up...the bedroom...as soon as I finish paying for the sofa and dining room XD!

Here they are at last. Some of the Halloween icons I promised. Better late than never, I guess XP.
And these are from a bunch of 1950-60's horror comics. Pretty cool, huh?
There are, of course, a ton more here . Help yourself ^__^.
Next up...the Star Trek ones. I'm working on them...honest....
