so when jeff and i flew back from georgia, our southwest plane landed in new orleans amidst a bad storm and was stuck on the runway for almost two hours, just waiting to pull into a gate. we didn't get very mad about it because hey, it's the weather - there's not a whole lot you can do. and the crew was very nice and went about passing along extra drinks and such. figuring nothing of the event, after we finally managed to be free of the plane, we went about our weeks.
my dad emailed me a few days ago to say that southwest had contacted him with two mails that looked like vouchers and he was sending them to me. i really didn't think much of it - i mean, how often does an airline actually give you something useful as an apology for a delay? so when we received the mail yesterday, i was shocked to open it and find two hundred dollar vouchers for the next flight along with a detailed explanation as to why the plane had been delayed.
thanks southwest!
