Adventures in moving.

Have got me grumpy. We had one good day of moving where the guys worked their asses off moving things. But things rang true like the did last move and after that day, the weather wasn't good for moving. So now it's the little bits we can fit in the car, until we can borrow something bigger again.

Ok, now for the report on the new place. When I can find the batteries I'll take pics and post them. Other than it being on 9 untouchable acers, it's a lovely 1960s limestone 3 bed 1 1/2 bath. It has a rather chilly family room that use to be a garage and according to our lease, we can't heat it with space heaters. I was expecting to move into a clean house where all we would have to do is move in. I was mistaken. Though the house is not by any means unfortunate in the cleanliness department, it's not exactly clean either. The the floors need to be swept. the house need dusted and cobwebs removed. There was debris in the tub from them resealing the edges. They were going to redo the tile floor in the bathroom since it was cracked and replace the toilet, but the contractor's tools were stolen so they put down temporary tile. We don't mind it. It looks nice. They can leave it. Speaking of floors. Angie said that they put liquid gold oil down on the floors so they might be slick. That was an understatement. It was a frikkin slip and slide in there! I had to scoot around on the floor with a towel to get up the excess oil. I understand the floors are old and were past due for conditioning, but she over did it a bit. She also failed to leave some of the stuff she promised. Pots and pans and spatulas. I now have to go through the stuff they sent out to the garage to see if it's there.

My washer and dryer aren't working yet. My dad has to finish hooking them up. Apparently when the house was built large capacity washers and dryers didn't exist. There are a lot of things that need to be repaired there. Nothing major that I can see. Just annoying minor things that I can handle. Now starts the huge waiting game to see if everything falls into place, so we can purchase the property. I truely love it and when all is done it will serve our purpose. And with small add ons we can make it into a perfect place for us. I just hate the uncertainty.

Well that's all for now. I haven't got the internet up at home yet. Hoping to do that in the next couple of days. Laters! Savvy?
