I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on Saturday with my brother. I enjoyed it and am interested in what others thought, especially about the new director and shortened length compared to the other two movies.
"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban": I saw the shit out of it.
In my ever so humble opinion, it finishes just short of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" in the running for best film of this year. It was the first of the series that made a good film in its own right. The director took far more liberties with the story than did Chris Columbus during his two films, but I can live with them since the story moved along nicely. The direction this time was brilliant, but I would expect no less from Alfonso Cuaron. It's a shame he isn't going to direct the next film, scheduled for release in 2005.
I'm glad to hear you're still having the time of your life over there. I'm headed for Chesapeake Bay with my family in two weeks. It's as far as I can get this summer. God willing, I'll make it to the other hemisphere before graduation.
I had better get off the internet before my dad gets back to the office and expects me to be working. It's a vice; all this time-wasting.
