so i had a good day today.  yesterday was a little rough, i was just really stressed, and especially tired,  and had to study for psych, and....yeah, i was just in a foul mood so i'm sorry to anyone that i snapped at or anything. (and thanks to mohawk matt for studying / bringing cookies.)
but today was much better.  though i thought i was going to be totally swamped with work for photography (b/c i'm a procrastinator) but it was a beautiful day out and that always makes things better (even having a test..well....)  signed up for classes and got everything i want....photo II, an english class that'll go towards my  major b/c i think i've decided on english, a journalism course (b/c that's what i'm thinking i'd like to do w/ an english major), a religion class that talks about the care of the earth (heard it's cool) and spanish, which i'm probably looking the least foward to.
so rudy and i went out today so i could get a roll of film done to meet w/ my teacher tomorrow, and it was a great afternoon.  it was so nice out, we went to the arboretum, drove around, ended up down town and played on the top of this parking deck.  then ate at this really good pizza place...all in all a very good day, making up for yesterday.  (and i got all my work done in the darkroom, and afterwards got to hang out w/ nicole, murph, matt, coy and greg for a bit...)
annnnd, on top of all that....we got a house!!!  we go tomorrow to turn in our lease and deposit, and can start moving in may first.  i saw it one day and decided to call about it, and it has all worked out from there.  it's adorable inside, hardwood floors, they woman (a family of 5 lives there now) has refinished the hardwood floors, painted all the walls, done a mosaic counter...soo cute...and there's a sun room and breakfast "nook", and a tire swing in front...and we get to move in this summer, which i'm pretty excited about.  i'll definitely miss being in asheville for an extended period of time, but, i know that a lot of my friends will not be living there this summer (and those of you that are, come see me in greensboro!!) so i know i'd get sort of lonely.  (and this way claire and i can stay w/ each other in chapel hill/gboro.)  also, i can get a job here, make a little rent/spending money, and hang out w/ the friends here that will be living here this summer as well.  it also means that my trips home will be even more exciting, and i'll appreciate the mountains more when i'm in them....of course after exams for most of the month of may i'll be in miami, staying w/ whit, travis, and taking care of nathaniel...it'll be a good start to the summer.  then sally's wedding that i'm in june 4 (which should be a lot of fun) then moving to gbro for the rest...anyway, the house...ash, jamie and i will be living there...jamie will move in in august (but will definitely be coming over a lot may - july) and erin fitzgerald will be living there for the summer.  (and maybe heather in my place for may...haha.)  i think we'll all have a lot of fun together.  we're renting from an 80+ year old man, this was his grandmother's house and it will "never leave the family".  the lease says "no parties, illegal or immoral acts" will be going on in this house.  also, we're living in a neighborhood - litearlly with families and elderly neighbors...they can petition us out if we're doing something they don't like...so we have to be careful .  annnnyway...
i think that's it...this is ridiculously long and rambling....probably b/c i'm excited and in a good mood.  i smell like grass and sun (and a few dark room checmicals)} and i love it.  hope everyone's doing well.  night.
