this is a "for the record" entry. It's not the story, but something ABOUT the story. I DID update the book today, so make sure to check that out.

For the record, most of the characters in the book are based, usually losely, on people I really knew. I just wanted to mention that I'm not bullshitting on the fact that these people were all linked together, even though they didn't all know it. An easy enough example is with "Sylvester and Tweety." jamie and Kelly were on the third floor of the company's barracks, and Backo and I were on the first floor, as roommates. Heather and her roommate were on the second. Emily and her roommate, who REALLY hated me, was also on the third. Heather and Emily got in trouble for seperate incidents, and ended up on the first floor as roommates. Kelly and Jamie fought so long and hard that they were forced to stop being roommates, but neither would give up the room. The sergeants decided to make them BOTH vacate, and Jamie moved down the hall, and became the roommate of Jerri. Kelly ended up as the roommate of my then "girlfriend", Debbie. Even though the room that kelly and Jamie had vacated was a "girls" room, I convinced my sergeant to let me have it.

I used the excuse that Backo was a bad influence on me, because he was another rule-breaker type. So, I moved up to the third floor, into room THREE SEVENTEEN. I kid you not. Jamie had broken the springs on her mattress in 317, and they replaced it, but she broke them again, and they refused to put another matress in the same room that year. SOOO, for the longest time I had the room to myself. I say "to myself", but Debbie slept there a lot of nights, or I'd sleep in hers, since Kelly was never sleeping in her own bed, either. Gods, but I loved those girls. Jamie and Kelly were two of my favorite people in the world. If they'd found a way to get along, they could have been a powerful force of evil in California, lol...

Well, hope you guys enjoy the entry. The next one's gonna be huge. I doubt I'll fit it in less than ten pages.

Walk in light...
