A Month with Dave
Dave's going to live in Malta as I type.
Who's Dave?
Dave was the guy who started my latest job with me. We only knew each other for a month however we're both certain that we're gonna be good mates for a good long time (which I am so glad of as I don't have many friends that willing to care). I guess it was lucky that we did get on because we spent a good 9 hours a day together haha - though I haven't met a person who hasn't liked Dave.
Isn't it great when you meet a person and just click? I could probably count the people I know like that on one hand. But I am so pleased that I do know each and every one of them - the memories you form with them are the kind you keep for the rest of your life.
Three of my fav Dave memories are:
- Dave entering the bosses office the first day and looking the complete opposite of an 'Office Angel' (thank god!) with his dapper suit, snake skin shoes, curly black hair and booming voice. I just knew from the first second that he was gonna be cooooool XD
- Dave attempting to cure a hang-over by asking for a tea, a water and a double coffee with three sugars at once!
- The wall of 'freaks' we compiled featuring David Gest who turned out to be much scarier than the freaks we found in Dave's circus freak book (retail £20 - we got it for 60p!)
Last night Paul (another sweetie who has joined my work and is my train buddy :D) and I went to a goodbye BBQ at Dave's. He gave me some beads from his mum's bead curtain XD I crawled home at 23.30 yet couldn't sleep all night (so I'm very tired now). I was just so thirsty! I must have drunk a litre. I'll try and nap later.
Anyway the point of my journal is - go out and make a friend from someone completely different - they will change your world for the better! If you're too nervous for that go and seek out a friend you haven't seen in ages and actually MEET them - your friends are special, don't be lazy and take them for granted.
