New Poem- Night

[dreamingofdepth]

I will meet You when
my sky becomes my ocean
when waves turn from blue to gold
and are motionless
as the breath of my sky becomes thin.

And as my sun dives past the ocean,
I hope it will remember
what it witnessed.

I hope it will have seen
other worlds brightened by
Sacrifice and its rise and fall motion
as it sailed through my heart,
Love's warmth as it permeated my being,
and Adventure as it drove my spirit.

I hope it will have seen
true happiness
and another star to set with
and others manifested to light their own worlds.

When I meet You in the waves of this
golden sky,
let me have bettered
the universe
before night comes
in all its splendor.
