First of all, I wanted to wish my flist a happy new year! I hope you all went into the new year without any problems and that 2009 will be a better year for you - or at least as good as 2008. ;) May all your wishes come true and I hope that you will achieve everything you are hoping for.
And now...
My personal highlights of 2008
- Getting accepted at the TU Berlin to study Energy Management and Process Technology, even though it's not easy and requires to study lots of maths.
- Moving into our new house. It's not finished yet, but it's getting better and better. My attic might be finished around my birthday, I hope and then I can finally sit back and relax and enjoy the view from my windows up there. *g*
- Flying to Los Angeles in November for about 15 days and actually getting to meet Robert Pattinson and some other stars there. I never really thought that it would happen or anything. The whole trip wasn't even planned to end like this. It just happened and kinda surprised us every single day, but I'm glad that it was like this. I mean, we had a lot of fun there and I don't regret anything at all. Not even a couple embarrassing nights there. :p Besides, we could finally meet lammybug and Jenn. :)
- Flying to Munich and seeing Rob and Kristen there once again. The funny thing about this was that we decided to go there about five days earlier. *lol* Granted, it was pretty expensive and we had a hard time finding a good hotel then, but who cares about that anyway then, eh?! ;)
- Meeting many new people online and offline. :) I'm so glad to know every single one of them! :)
There are many more things I wanted to say, but that will require a seperate entry for various reasons. So, for now I wanted to thank dresden_doll_01, nordmaedchen and thea2056 for their cards. I was so happy when I got them. :) Mostly because it made me realize that some people do think of me every once in a while. *hides* ;)
Oh, and I think I might have to apologize to tijuana_lady83 for getting on her nerves lately. *lol* It's just that I got back into my "Farscape" mood and I keep talking about it non-stop - and she doesn't know the show at all. ;) I just can't help it. It's one of my absolute fav shows ever and I've been a fan of it since 2000 and finally got the DVDs for Christmas, so I've been watching all the episodes once again. *g* Besides, it reminded me of all the talks and phone calls and letters between theevilpuppy and me. *sighs* The good old times...
