car situation

I figured I'd have plenty of time this weekend to write out everything I wanted. I mislead myself. The weekend has been busy busy. Work, Triston's bday party, car shopping, funiture loading and unloading, general socializing. So no car yet. Maybe this week? Our guy is going to the auctions monday-wednesday. He's supposedly going to seek out a car specifically for me. He's a good person, but gets distracted easily. We'll see. I suppose I could explain the car situation. Well, I mentioned before that the microbursts damaged my car. My insurance company has estimated $4000 in damages. My car is only worth (with low mileage calculated in) ~$4900. Minus my deductable, they're cutting me a check for $4650. That is, if I accept the total. If I keep the car, I get a check for $3950 (irregardless of how much it will cost to get my car fixed) and lose my comprehensive. I've elected to total the car because I have the $1000 check from the previous accident of which I can put towards a new car. But apparently there are no cars on the market w/ my specifications. They're all either too new with very high mileage and too old with decent to low mileage. However, none of these will do b/c old=fall apart faster and high mileage=fall apart faster. Grr. I have plenty of money to buy a decent car. But no one's selling what I have money for. Frustrating. Quite.
