Kansas: Why do you hate me so? Why must you go from 60 degrees and gorgeous on Saturday to 25 degrees and snowing on Monday? Why must you torture me?
Artie's 21st bday outting was a success! (after a few bumps in the road) Everyone got along fine and there was much laughter. It's hard to realize Artie's legal now!
I spent the majority of my day last Sunday with Matt Knuth. He is my kindergarten boyfriend. Heh, I found him by accident on facebook, where we began talking again. We've spent much time catching up and all. He wanted to come out here to see me (he goes to Mizzou). I was a bit fearful I wouldn't be able to keep him entertained, but after a few rounds of mario kart to break the ice, we went for a walk around campus, then he took me out to eat at Rudy's downtown. Then came back to my place, played more mario cart, watched the end of the Goonies and the chief's game, then he stayed and watched Grey's Anatomy with me. We kept our conversation going for about 7 hours with no uncomfortable silences. He's such a sweetheart and was so kind and chivalrous. *sigh* I'm crushing big time here. He's in the NROTC, and may be stationed in San Diego when he grads in May. How awesome would that be? He has a girlfriend, though it's an open relationship. But he's not sure what he wants to do with his current situation. He sent me an IM saying he had a great time last weekend, and it made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm totally falling in like with him.
Thanksgiving was the usual. My cousin and his girlfriend came (the ones who lost their baby). Jesse seemed very unhappy when Victoria was squealling and playing near her. The pain in her eyes was overwhelming. Ended up on the Plaza, where I met up with Artie, Maggie, Meg, and her bf Chris. We watched the lights and fireworks from O'douds then did a bit of holiday drinking. It was great fun. There was an awesome cover band who played U2, tom petty, sublime, etc. Some random guy from Brooklyn, NY started dancing with me and feeling me up. Artie saved me and pulled me towards the bathrooms, where he followed us. He pulled me out of the br and started making out with me. When his hand began to slide down my pants I ran and hid in the ladies room. Some girls protested my butting to the front of the line until they heard my plea. Good times on t-day night.
Friday was blah blah with my mom. We went to Joann's and I got some stuff to make my cousin a pillow for xmas. Ashley came over and we all sat down and chatted about the trip. We will *hopefully* be tieing up the loose ends after the first of the year. YAY Picked up Hippie Josh and came back to Lawrence. Some friends of his met us at my place and we played trivial persuit into the wee hours of the morn. Josh and I walked around Mass street for the better part of the day Saturday. We watched the family guy movie and Run Lola Run when we got back. Drove him back to OP Sunday, I hung out at my sis's place for a few hours, and tried to get back before the weather got too bad. Managed to miss the hail on the hwy but realized halfway home that I had left my phone. My mom was kind enough to come out today (in the winter weather) and bring it too me. I *heart* my mom.
