These few words came to me while reading a fantasy novel by R. Scott Bakker, entitled The Thousandfold Thought. One of the main events taking place throughout the trilogy (called "The Prince of Nothing", of which this book was the last), is that of a massive holy war, and a thought (nothing novel or new, but...) struck me: the difference between the failings of our enemies and our own is that they are not our failings, and the difference between the sins that mark them as lesser in our sight and the sins we ourselves commit is only the thin, frail line of perception.

Do you
Measure Sin so
Finely?
You could
Split hairs on
That razor.
