Happy new year!
Yeah, it hasn't been the best of years for me. Deaths in the family, money issues, troubles at job. But I sorted it up with my head high, as always! And that has to count for something.
Besides, I still have my wonderful family, Rodri, Connie, Mali and the baby cats (Mom, Dad, siblings and nephews too, of course! ♥). I still have my beloved fandoms. I still have my friends, both from RL and from LJ.
I still smile and laugh and enjoy my life. I'm still sorrounded by beautiful things and by people who loves me.
So yeah. 2008 wasn't so bad after all, see?
I know everything seems to indicate that 2009 will be even worse. But I am going to call to my ever present (if a little hidden lately, LOL) optimism. Screw the economic crisis, THINGS WILL GET BETTER, DAMMIT, JUST BECAUSE I SAY SO. ^_^
I'm not going to worry about things I can't control, but instead I'll do my best to work out those I can. And I'll keep looking at the great, the amazing things I have in my life, instead of whining for the ones I don't have.
I'll keep smiling, I'll keep laughing and I'll keep singing! ^_^
Those are my New Year Resolutions.
And I wish all of you a great 2009. May you overcome every difficulty with success, may you grow and learn, may your life be filled with the happiness you deserve.
