Well, here we are, adjusting to life with a baby in the house. It's not easy, specially because I no longer have the freedom to do what I want whenever I want, Connie's needs always comes first.
Thanks God she's a good baby girl. She only wakes up once in the night... or she simply doesn't wake up at all. True, she goes to sleep at 1 in the morning, but then she sleeps until 9 in the morning. She has a very healthy appetite too, sometimes I feel she's going to leave me dry as a mummy!! XD
Rodri is absolutely fascinated with her daughter. I have to admit, he's a natural daddy. He has lots of patience (much more than me!) and he could spend hours looking at Connie or talking to her or touching her. Me? Of course I talk to her and I touch her, but above all I just want a couple of hours for myself, to do stuff like read a book or watch TV or check my friend list! I have to admit that sometimes this situation overwhelms me.
Rodri has been a GIGANTIC help. My eternal thanks to whoever invented paternity leaves! I really wonder how am I going to manage when he goes back to work!
I know I should probably say something about the actual birth, the c-section and all, but it's just too much to tell... Connie's been asleep for two hours now and she'll probably wake up soon... and hungry, of course!! But if anybody has any questions, I'll be glad to answer them!
For now, I'll just say it was pretty much uneventful. An easy birth, without pain... the c-section didn't bother me at all and I recovered incredibly fast, acording to my obgyn. In fact, they did the c-section at 11 in the morning and I was back on my feet and walking at 9 that same night.
A LOT of people called me, went to visit me at the clinic and sent me greetings by email or by the link I posted here.
I want to thank specially to
bellelvsbeast,
chascobal,
factor8,
lobolita,
iwonderwhooo,
pinguinistika,
stellafelice, and
waschbaer11k for their greetings! It was such a wonderful thing to read all those messages full of good wishes and love.
I am going to keep them all, and I'm going to put them in a special box of memories I'm doing for Connie. So, when she gets older, she'll be able to read them and she'll know there was a lot of people who cared for her!
And now, of course, some pics. ^_^
The precise moment of Connie's birth!
A few moments after the birth.
My little sister
naru_moony made this pretty thing.
