My first time in Tokyo

Jul 29, 2010 18:18

I just came back from Tokyo 2 weeks ago so I guess it's time to make an article about this unforgettable trip. I stayed there for 10 days with my brother and 4 friends.

I was a little scared before going cause I was organizing everything, so if something had gone wrong it would have been my fault. But everything went well, or should I say more or less well cause I forgot my vest in the toilet of Narita's airport at the arrival - it's just like me >.< -

Now let's talk about something interesting : Tokyo
  • Asakusa
We arrived on July 5th after 15 hours of intense airplane travelling, we were totally sleepy but excited at the same time. After arguing about how to get to Asakusa we finally found the hostel -thanks to the people who don't speak English but who still want to help you-  we stayed at the Sakura hostel a youth hostel with a very nice staff and proper room, we don't have any complain concerning the room.

So asakusa is the historical district of Tokyo with its temples and traditional houses. This is a beautiful district we enjoyed visiting it a lot.

Here is the senso-ji temple

  • Akihabara
The electronic district; it was like a dream, manga and music everywhere. The buildings were beautiful, I took a lot of pictures of them.
And in Akihabara they have that :

The Gundam Cafe! For a gundam fan like I am I couldn't go to Tokyo without going there! It was a must.
It gave us a hard time to find it but it was worth the waiting. The decors are just amazing! There are gundams everywhere
-yeah obviously there are -.-' -

Still to come:
  • Ueno
  • Shibuya
  • Harajuku
  • Odaiba
  • Ginza
  • The imperial district
  • The Tokyo Tower

I'll will update this entry later, it's all messy for now >.<
