I always heard that expecting mothers develop strange cravings, but I never really believed it until now...

I suppose it must be because of the baby. I think I read that somewhere as well.

Yeah, the midwife says it's not all that unusual. I've gotten a few late-night visits from some harried husbands whose pregnant wives sent them out for some cheese buns or something like that...

I can see that you're already showing. Do you know if it's going to be a boy or a girl?

A bakery, actually. I'm one of the head bakers. I like making bread and cakes, especially. Frosted flowers are my specialty.

Not yet. I have a doctor's appointment next month. Hopefully I'll find out then!

Oh my! That sounds lovely! Is it fun to work there?

It's a lot of fun, most days. Both my older brothers are bakers, too. They take most of the orders, so that gives me time to experiment and work on special orders. I guess I'm considered the more artistic one. They leave the fancy cakes and pastries for me to work on.

It certainly seems like it would be fun. Your brothers must proud of your work, then.

Actually, they don't really pay much attention to me... I think they might be jealous of my talents. But things have gotten better for us all recently.
