arashi and j-dorama marathon
just an entry about the (fangirl) marathon thingy am having.
1. arashi
i just plugged in my sister's dvd writer and watched arashi performances and PVs from late in the morning until early in the afternoon. bishounens keeping lonely ol' me company. kyaaaa!!
they're just a recent obsession in my part, yet it's an obsession i'd like to keep. because i've never seen a more human pop-idol group. and what keeps me coming back for more is the anticipation of their new "misadventures, mishaps and foibles".
and just for the record, my most favorite arashi member is nino (with that cute-cool persona), with aiba-chan (with that cute-cuddly-sexy package) coming in a close second. ^_^v
2. gokusen
with nothing to do (or because i don't want to do what am supposed to do) i scrounged up my copy of gokusen 1 live-action (courtesy of kaoko ^^v) for a bit of shin-love. and i've got to say, matsujun's portrayal of shin is *handsdown* the best performance he's ever made. or maybe am being biased with shin. because even if i like his portrayal of doumyouji (and he was one great doumyouji), shin will still be his best persona ever. and i think i have at least a couple of people backing me up with that one. what with all those deadpan expressions, condescending remarks, and stolen yankumi-glances. shin-kumi love! kyaaaaa!!
my favorite shin line would have to be the one in the end of the series when he pops into the frame and turns to shinohara, tetsu and shinohara's sidekick (never really got his name) and says "悪いけど四人だ。(Sorry, but that makes four of us.)" i couldn't help but squeal and ask my brother to rewind it a little, just so i'd know for sure i wasn't dreaming. but shin's admission of having feelings for yankumi was way cuter in the manga, with all of his friends there and ucchi just barely pouncing on him to answer "Oi, Shin, do you, by any chance, like Yankumi?" and shin looks far away and goes, "Maybe." kyaaaaaaa!!!
oh, right. i do have one complaint with shin. he called yamaguchi "yankumi" in the live action series. and i feel that it somehow killed the romance in the idea that shin was the only one who always called yankumi "yamaguchi" in the anime and the manga.
but the fact remains that it's a shin-kumi love! can't wait to get volume 15!!!
3. himitsu no hanazono
i'll be watching the final episode later when my sister gets home, so i'll leave this entry for another day. though i do have to say a few things.
1. kaname jun is HOT! and i swear, that line of his in episode 10 blew me away! i swear!
2. hongo kanata is so cute! i just wanna cuddle him and make him say "mada mada dame" over and over again!
3. sakai masato is cuter in engine. gen-nii! hehehe
4. shaku yumiko has been hogging all the good guys. first, there's nino (in stand up!). then there's hongo kanata, kaname jun and sakai masato as well (himitsu no hanazono)! i mean, c'mon! you can't steal them! you're not allowed to!
4. ganbatte!
in line with kaname jun, am planning on watching ganbatte! after i finish with my feed-my-gokusen-obsession phase. of course am looking forward to kimura takuya in this series.
why shouldn't i? he's one of the best specimens of the male species.

gah! i feel so sick! and i only have less than 24 hours to get better.
