(no subject)
Ok, I have just gotten home from my second Amazing trip!!!!! I will explain them both but if you'd like detail you will just have to come visit me or call me up :]
Trip #1
Destination: Washington D.C.
I went alone. I knew no one upon my arrival but by the end of the trip I had 150 incredible friends. We were divided into 4 Caucuses (aka groups). The group you were put into is made up of about 40 people and two instructors. These are the people that I got closest too with some exceptions. I was in Caucus one...the best one haha. Well anyways, we spent the week in seminars (hour long speakers w/ question and answer time...the most known speaker we had was Ralph Nader), crossfires (those were hour long heated sebates with about 20 people), touring, visiting capitol hill, playing ULTIMATE frisbee, hanging out, and writing/passing "bills". It was amazing...I know you all think this is like so incredibly nerdy to go to D.C. over my spring break for a "political convention for youth" (haha) but it was probably the best vacation I've ever taken. I will never ever forget it...the closest friendships I made I will work hard to keep up because of the long distances. But hey, Laurajean (LJ) lives in Colorado and shes already coming out to spend lke 4 day with me in Az in like 2 and a half weeks I cant wait!
Trip #2
Destination: Boston, Massahusetts
This trip I went to with umm lets see...like 80 other people. It was Chandler High Schools Symphonic Band. WE performed in Boston Symphony Hall for a national festival/ competition. It was absolutely Amazing to play there!! We also went touring htere and my grandparents came fown from New Hampshire to visit me!! :] I love these band trips because I get so much closer to my friends and I meet so many more. They're like my family....ah I love them!! A major highlight of the trip was seeing the Blue man group!! That was soo cool!!
Well all-in-all i had a fabulous time on both my trips! I realized how much I want to NOT live in Az!! Man the east coast is soooo much better! I want to go to college out there and stay there! To bad I keep changing my mind on what I want to do....and also Im not sure if I could leave everything Ive ever known...my friends, family....jeez ok well thats all for now. Im going to honestly try and write in this for my sisters sake so she knows whats going on in my life :] and ill post a link for all my pictures soon as well.
