The Obligatory DBSK Fan-girl Pilgrimage

Jul 20, 2008 04:43

Yes, 'tis true. I, like many fangirls before me, have made the journey through hardship (and a hopelessly lost taxi driver) to Junsu's dad's pizza restaurant. *grins*

We decided between the four of us that it'd probably be easier to take a taxi since we didn't really know where the subway station was in relation to the restaurant, and it was raining like crazy. (Only to be expected, seeing as it is monsoon season...) Soooo glad I remembered to write down the phone number for the restaurant before leaving, because our driver made good use of it. (There's a good tip for any of you planning to travel in Seoul: always write down addresses and phone numbers if you're planning to travel by taxi. Most have GPS systems and only need the address; the few that don't at the very least carry a cell phone so they can call the place and get directions.) Anywayz, we eventually got there in one piece and paid a total of something like 27,600 won (about $28) from Yonsei University.

We get into the building, and this is what we're greeted with:

All signatures of fans who have visited at one time or another. Layer upon layer of writing in just about every language. We saw Korean (of course), Chinese, Japanese, Thai, English... I'm sure there were more, but it was kinda hard to look at all of them since there were so many.

Finally, we stopped gawking at that and moved on to the actual restaurant. And these are some of the first things you see:

(And how freakin' cute is this picture?! ^__^)

And this is us at our table:

Melody (kratynoi) on the left, and Morgan (feyla) on the right-

Leda on the left, me on the right-

So we just sat there chatting for a bit, figured out what pizza we wanted and ordered it. Then, not long after that, a man in a suit approached our table and thanked us then found out where we were all from. And that's kinda when the whole situation finally hit me: We were actually sitting there talking (or, well, at least attempting) to Junsu's dad. Ohmyfreakin'gosh... 0_0 He found out Leda was from Shanghai and mentioned he'd gone to their concert there. And I sooooo badly wanted to be horrible and ask, "Yeah... And how, exactly, did you feel when he started tearing his clothes off on stage?" *giggles* But I didn't!! I was good!! Sadly, we didn't really get to talk to him a whole lot; his English is... minimal, and none of us really know any Korean. >_< But shortly after that, he asked if we'd like photos. Of course, we gladly accepted. *grins*

Morgan, Junsu's dad, and... ummm... uhh... almost-Junsu? demi-Junsu? *laughs*

Me, Junsu's dad, and nearly-Junsu ^_^

Leda's and Melody's pictures are on Melody's camera, so I can't show you those... *shrugs* Anywayz, after that, he walked off, and we fangirled a little bit by taking a bunch of pictures. So here're those:

The SuSu clock hanging over the photoboard

Shelf under the TV full of pictures and small gifts from fans

And then it was time to eat. We had a cheese-stuffed-crust barbecue-chicken pizza. And it was freakin' delicious. *drools* Makes you hungry just lookin' at it:

We finished eating then just sat there for a little while, talking and attempting to give our tummies a little time to feel a bit less stuffed. ^_^ On our way out, Junsu's dad stopped us and handed out autographed pictures to each of us. Sadly, I've decided not to post that up here. It's something... special, and I want to keep it that way by not showing it off for the whole world to see. Maybe that's a little selfish of me, but hopefully you guys all understand, right?

Anywayz, we finally left and decided to add our own signatures to the wall on the way out.

Morgan leaving her mark

And my message: American Red Sea represented!! ^_^

And that was it. The experience was over. It was soooo much fun, though, and I'm really glad I got to go and enjoy it with really good friends/fellow fans. And we're planning another trip in a week or two for all those girls that didn't get to go this time around. Get a huge group to take over the whole restaurant and show them just how many American fans <3 TVXQ! *grins*
