A day and a half after disappearing, Luna Lovegood reappears not by magic, but having walked back from the other side of the island with three other people. As she understands it, it's just part of the strangeness that is the island, and not really that malicious. The dinosaurs, perhaps, could be dangerous, but Luna hadn't worried about them.
She had, however, worried about getting back sooner than later, her stomach twisting only when she imagined Draco finding that she was missing, possibly gone. He would be worried, wouldn't he?
I rather hope so.
And that thought is so genuine that she's surprised, and though years of practice have made it easy to pretend she's simply in outer space all of the time, much of her distance is related to the puzzlement of how in all these worlds she could be worried about getting back to this one person who may not even love her more than-- than anything.
So it's with anxious hope that she parts ways with her groups near the entrance of the compound, toeing off her soaked trainers before she pads inside. She's wet to the bone, practically, her lips cast purple with the chill, her dress dripping on the floor, but her eyes are bright and focused as she looks around.
