Today in Transfiguration, we worked on turning hedgehogs into pincushions. I couldn't quite get mine, poor thing. Whenever that happens, I feel really badly about it. I always feel kind of rubbish about turning living, squirmy beings into non-living things. I mean, they have cute little faces, and it's my job to take those away from them. What's that about, Transfiguration Curriculum? Anyway, hang in there and practice makes whatever and a lot of other platitudes. If you need any help, I could probably provide it. I'm a fair hand at the whole hedgehog transfiguring nightmare by now.

Right! Living creatures should stay living creatures! One would think that it would hurt them to be half-transfigured. Maybe I could practice on something less cute. Maybe spiders?
