this is the IT week
Yes as the subject suggests. This week could be the very IT week of 2008 well until whatever I decide to do for my birthday.
As since I havent updated in a week, I will fill you in. I had a interview last week on Monday for a supervisor position at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Dublin. I also had a interview for a Night Auditor at the Doubletree Hotel in Worthington. Now I am figuring I would make a little more on Night Audit at the Doubletree. But it will continue on 3rd shift. The supervisor position would be 2nd shift, 3pm to 11pm, and would be a tad more than what I am currently making. Both places have plenty of opportunities to grow possibly. At least I get the impression more at the Doubletree. I have a interview today with Crowne Plaza North for Night Audit.
I also found out that there is a specialist position available at the store closer to my place and had my interviews with them on Thursday last week, before I went to the Doubletree. LOL! As my boss says, you've had more interviews. But I havent been offered much of anything from all the various interviews I have had. LOL! So I am hoping to definitely hear about the specialist position hopefully this week. =)
Then I would be hoping that I got the job at the Doubletree. =)
I am also been researching and I have determined that I will be going forward with an adoption of a child in probably a year or two. The agency is called Independent Adoption Center, IAC; their website is www.adoptionhelp.org . Once you finish the process, you can adopt a child anywhere within 6 to 18 months. The agency just works with new borns and all of the adoptions are open adoptions. This is something I have been feeling on my heart as the right course of action for my life. As I am fine with being single, I want to start my family sooner than waiting until I am much older. So my determination at finding a more stable job where I can grow and move up within is on the forefront. I have that with Target but I figure I can also learn alot more about hospitality. So when I decide to move and buy a house, I have eithe career field to lean on as I am waiting to hear about a matched adoption.
But otherwise not much is going on besides working and getting things organized at home and in life. I have been trying to be diligent and doing a little organizing each day and cleaning so that things do not pile up again.
