October Happenings

So I haven't really updated lately at all. I have been working almost nonstop. With support help at the new Target stores set to open in 2 weeks to not wanting to be at work at the hotel.

I had applied for a full time position with Dick's Sporting Goods (DSG) in Hilliard. But as luck would have it, it was filled due to a transfer from another store. So a part time position was offered to me, however; the girl who interviewed me, gave my application to their District Mgr. That person took my application to Sawmill and so just to see what king of help in staffing they needed. So there was a full time Front End Coordinator available. So after talking to the Store Mgr for a few minutes, I had the ball rolling for a formal offer. So going on two weeks later, the ball is finally coming to a close where a formal offer will be offered. The position starts at $12 an hr. That more than I currently make at the hotel and just have to worry about the Front End.

So I will definitely be cutting back on my hours at Target for a while so I can adjust to the new company and hours. I am hoping I can get a semi set schedule so that my Target will be able to schedule me at least a few hours since I have 401k with them and my Health Flex Spending Acct.

I am sure I could work a couple of mornings debating on what time I would have to go in to close. Plus I would have two days off a week so. Its not a M - F job, but thats fine. I am looking forward to the challenge. Not happy about having to drive 30 minutes to it but oh well.

I am getting ready to start packing and move into my new apartment where I will be living for the next 2 years. I will be paying a lot less a month in rent than I am currently paying. But when you add the water and rent together, I will be saving $100 a month but thats good. May not seem like a lot but the apartment is on the 3rd floor. There is almost 200 square feet more in the apartment. Plus the apartment has a washer and dryer in the apartment to use. So I wont be spending money going to the laundromat or going downstairs to the basement to do laundry.

I recently maybe like 2 months ago, added an addition to the Chalmers family. Snickers and Kitkat have a new baby brother, NT. NT is 5 yrs old. He is literally 4 months younger than Kitkat. So I have two 5 yr olds. He had never been adopted before and was at Cozy Cat Cottage his whole life. I really thought he deserved a forever loving home. He hasnt seen me much cause I am gone all day for work, but he has a place in my heart and made himself a part of the family already. He and Kitkat are always running around the apt. He snuggles up to Snickers on the bed with me. =)

Yea so the video above with Faith Hill is to symbolize my new turn in life. I will have some little bumps in the road but its all about getting somewhere in life. With the new job, new apt, I will be able to pay off old debts, save and go back to school and afford the things I need in the apartment....here I come IKEA and Target.

I will be trying to keep this updated more during the time I move as to how I am progressing myself on getting ready to move. =)
