Morocco!

So, here is an account of my trip...

monday- had to get up at 5:30 to take the ferry. rained a lot. was cold, wet, and hungry. hated morocco. our guide got us and we drove for about 8 hours to Fez. all while i was cold, wet, and hungry.lots of people stared at me and bethany. and not in a very nice way.

tuesday- we were led by our guide through the medina of Fez. bethany and i were stared at a lot. almost every teenage boy we way had this way of just staring you down. lot of cute ones, though. very nice eyes. we bought a ton of stuff! i got this gorgeous dark blue traditional/modern moroccan dress. yes, something can be modern and traditional. it is fabulous.

wedsday- drove about 9 hours to get to another town near the Sahara desert.

thursday- went sand boarding in the sahara. exactly like snow boarding but in the sand. we rode camels for two hours out into the desert. sat around in traditional Berber tents, eating really good traditional food and having Mom and the guy who lead our camels talk in spanish, cuz he spoke five languages. he told us jokes in spanish and my mom interpreted. he was great fun! i saw billions of stars, and three shooting stars! i fell asleep to the sounds of people quietly talking, other shifting around to get comfortable on the carpeted ground in the tents, the camels grunting and moving, and looking at the starts through holes in the tent.

friday- i woke up freezing! the desert gets so cold at night! we had the bread they serve everywhere in morocco (luckily its good bread), cheese, and oranges. it was actually a very nice breakfast. then we rode the camels back and drove back to Fez

saturday- we drove back and took the ferry across the water to spain
