when i go out the door in the morning, i feel the cold whipping at my face. cold when i am going to eat. cold when falling on my ass playing broomball. cold when stepping into a car. it is one of those things that i feel lame whining about but i whine anyway.

i've taken to day-dreaming about the summer. thom, alex and myself reading books and eating food in a shaggy, spacious apartment in uptown. maybe i will work at a vietnamese restaurant a block away- owned and operated by a world-weary but loveable older man. or maybe my chicago public radio internship will happen and i can spend my days traversing the city with a microphone, recording things that i find interesting. either way, i will wear my little blue shorts and feel rushes of warm air occasionally soothe my legs. i will go to the lake with sunglasses and sunblock, sunbathing and observing city life. summer is certain, inevitable. the details are murky and daydream-worthy.

goddammmm...
