Songs...

Comment and I'll give you a letter, then you'll have to post five of your favourite songs beginning with that letter. Dreamingofme gave me the letter N, which has a lack of songs in general, but here goes!

1. Never Back Down - Novastar... This song is just stunningly, incredibly pretty. Novastar are a really talented group and to me, these kind of songs are the kind of gorgous piano-pop tracks that Coldplay wish they could deliver. 'Another Lonely Soul' is an album which blew me away from the first time I heard it and I can get completely lost in the string arrangements and the singer's voice.

2. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) - The Beatles... From 'Rubber Soul'. This song reminds me of when I was very little and my mum used to sing along with it. It's one of her favourite Beatles tracks too. I can't get sick of it because it's so understated and somehow it's just... an honest song. 'I wanted a girl, or should I say, she wanted me...'

3. Nine Threads - dEUS... Simply because it's the only track of theirs beginning with N on 'In a Bar, Under the Sea' which I'm incredibly attached to. If I could only listen to one album ever again it would be this one, because it reminds me of lying under the skylight in Vince's roof, watching the clouds float by, which is what we were doing the first time he played it to me.

4. Nightlife - IAMX... I love this song. It was the first track I listened to by IAMX, and it blew me away. Long before I managed to get hold of 'The Alternative', I had Nightlife on my mp3 player, and on my computer. It puts me in the mood for partying hard.

5. Nice to Know You - Incubus... OK, Incubus are my favourite band, but that's not why I love this song. I love it because it's the opening track of 'Morning View' which is one of my little sister's favourite albums. She's always said it's up there as one of her little group of favourite albums that she was glad she discovered, and Nice to Know You is a really great opening track for it.
