I didn't realise before, but when a climbing plant hasn't got anything to grip with it's tendrils, it holds onto iself, and ties itself into tangled knots and loops, because it's so lost and confused that it doesn't know what to do.
It's like a beautiful metaphor for the state of most people's headspace.
