She resisted stealing off the ornaments until the day before we took the tree down.

Actually she was looking out the window.
She makes a nice decoration, doesn't she?
She loves to lay on the mantel. The ornaments on the garland are some that I made in 1970.
Sophie discovers the window.
Because we had moved the loveseat away from the window to make a space for the Christmas tree, Sophie had never had such a good view out the front window before.
New favorited place to lay.
She just loves her new spot-- she can see everything!
