Randomish - but your title to your post? When I was a med student, I went back and forth on my answering machine between 'Resistance is futile' and 'Preparation is irrelevant' depending on how close it was to a block of exams. ;)

I somehow rigged a cassette recorder into my VCR so that I got Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard/Locutus of Borg delivering both lines. Ah, yes, the geekliness of it all... :)

The DH calls those two strips our "soap operas", LOL! We have to follow them online now, because none of the local papers carry them.

I've never heard of sliced hot dogs on pizza! Hmmmmm....

Hardly anyone has, alas! It started when I was a little girl, and my mom would "dress up" the old boxed cheese pizza mixes with extra toppings--usually ground beef and mushrooms. We were out of other kinds of meat one day, so she chopped up some hot dogs and sprinkled on top!

When I make pizza at home that's one of the toppings I always add.

*sigh* Of course, it's few and far between any more for pizza, since we have to watch our sodium.

Hot dogs on pizza is new for me, too. And oh yes, the day of full-service stations! I haven't seen one of those in years now.
