my weekend project
So, I got tired of paying out the ass for dvd shelves (that are horrible quality fiberboard). for our ever expanding collection. Going to Pawnshops / Thrift stores / Garage Sales kinda makes it hard to not justify spending the 2-3 bucks on a really good (or sometimes a really bad movie if miriam comes with me...) in mint condition. Especially when you've found something worth money so essentially your new DVD is free!
ok, so this bitch is 6 feet tall 2 feet wide with 8 shelves 9 if you count the top and can hold by my estimate about 350ish DVD's. Cost me a total of 33 bucks for the wood and hardware (screws).
Now I just need to fill the screw holes and stain it.
This is really the first piece of "furniture" i've ever made - and i'm very happy how it turned out to be truthful, I wanted to use higher quality wood but that would have more then doubled the cost and we are poor at the moment so... Such is life.
