I tell you those hurricane's are crazy!

I finally get a break from things...well...even if it's only for a day, it's still nice to just relax and not do much, which is sometimes unheard of at my parents house. So I've been sitting in front of the TV watching the weather channel report on Hurricane Ike going on in the Gulf Coast getting ready to hit Galveston, TX. It's crazy I tell ya. However in an odd way I wish I was down their reporting on it like they do on the weather channel. Guess this shouldn't be too much of a surprise since I've followed the Weather Channel and their reports since I was a little girl. Before I even moved to Germany I would sit for hours in front of the TV watching the weather, even as far as telling my dad that I just want to "finish watching it" even though they just keep going and going with the broadcasts.

Anyway..besides watching the weather channel, Solvs, David and I are going to chill and they will probably get some dinner and play Wii.

::couple hours later..::

So I guess I never got to finish earlier...sorta got carried away watching the report on the weather channel on Hurricane Ike.

We ended up ordering chinese food which was really yummy, and then played some Wii Fit. I even played some Trauma Center: New Blood, which I got for xmas and hadn't even played yet. That was fun!

After that I went back to watching the Weather Channel, and then these last two hours I've been sitting in bed with the laptop watching the coverage online. I was hoping to find live feeds of the weather channel online, however I didn't have much luck in that department, but after searching around on google I struck gold! I never knew something like this existed but it's been amazing.

This is the site...when I pulled it up, suddenly there were a whole bunch of windows, and each window has a different news station broadcasting live. Some of them are just webcams of the area, and then some of them are radars and the rest is live feeds from all news stations in Houston, TX. Just amazing! Plus a great way for me to see what's going on as the storm makes landfall in Galveston.

I know I know...I honestly must sound weird talking like this since I'm up in NH and not down in Texas. Oh well...that's me for ya!

I think I'm going to wrap this up, watch a little more news, and then get some sleep since I have to work! I hope everyone will be okay down in Texas, praying for our friends Jean and Jim whom had to evacuate their house and are currently waiting out the storm in St. Antonio.

On one happy note:

HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY JESS!!!!! MISS YOU!! <3333

Okay I'm out! Take care everyone and be safe!
Night night
