castles in the sky
oh wow, i am so excited.
i'm going to go to culinary school. it's decided. because really, before i start my bakery, that's a little bit necessary. i want it to be FABULOUS.
so timeline of the next few years--finish stanford and get my credential. find a job. find a culinary school that offers summer courses and night classes that specialize in dessert-making, specifically the art of baking. meanwhile, i will develop and refine my biology curriculum so that i can keep up my teaching profession and start up the bakery with peling and co on the side--the name? Let them eat cake! isn't it wonderful? my heart is beating so fast i can barely contain it. i haven't been this excited about something in a LONG time...well...not since i got to sit down with my unit plan for curriculum and instruction class and play with it for a solid 6 hours straight. that doesn't SOUND exciting, but it's actually REALLY fun. =)
so who else is in on this? hana? yes yes? you can be our chocolate specialist! (because i, clearly, cannot be trusted with large amounts of chocolate...) and we will reel steffibo in, because she's going to quit her job and be our store manager once she marries chris and he gets a solid, dependable job. and peying will be our mascot and marketer, because she'll just tell everyone she knows to go there! and they'll listen, scarily enough. mmmmm, i cannot WAIT!
ok ok enough writing, i'm going to go look up culinary schools. forget job searching for now, that can wait =)
EDIT: so apparently there's already a Let Them Eat Cake bakery in Costa Mesa, so now the plan is to call it Castle in the Sky. =)
