(no subject)
This past week has been...full.
at the beginning of the week, i honestly couldn't think of how i was going to make it through the week alive. i tried consoling myself, telling myself it was just one "deathweek", or in hanaspeak, "EVIL WEEK OF MULTIPLE DOOMS" Each day, i couldn't imagine what the next evening would be like, but the week slipped past in a daze of studying, deep sleep for too few hours, and reading the Word. Honestly, I can look back and realize that what got me through the week was my time spent reading the Bible. At the end of a stressful, looking back and realigning myself with my true purpose here was such a good way to get to sleep--i didn't even have ONE nightmare last week, but i was pretty good about not eating chocolate at night ;-) OMSG...my friend had nutella on graham crackers for the FIRST time last week and DROPPED it on my kitchen floor!!! such a waste ...=P j/k, but yes, i've been baking/cooking starting thursday...
oh, so thursday i was walking to class and it was RAINING, which meant i had fun picking an outfit that was rainproof (boots, tights, skirt, raincoat, umbrella, i was set)...so take the midterm, and i come out all shell shocked (because that's what happens after genetics midterms), and it was SUNNY! like sky so blue it hurts a little and clouds straight out of national geographic. i was so thrilled that i walked into some guy's back -___-''...so embarrassing. but walking home with jo, i could have skipped all the way.
i also have the BEST BOSS AND BEST KIDS EVER. conversation from last thursday
Me: It's almost ten, Santiago...I'm going to go home...
Santiago: really? has gracie done math with you?
Me: [slightly panicked look]...all we did was chem...
Santi: uh oh...she's not going to be happy...
[Grace walks in]
Me: oi, da tou, i'm leaving...
Grace: ok!
Me and Santi: EHH?
Santi: She took that rather well...
Grace: [long explanation of how she studied before and she's not having problems] wait...yaz, do you have another MIDTERM tomorrow?!
Me: no, i'm just a little tired from the ones I had this...
Grace: GO HOME!! GO SLEEP!!! [big hug] see you next week!
Santi: [Shrugs] i guess you can't argue with that, huh?
but yes, i'm floating on air...God is so good...it's so strange that He would choose to give me so many blessings like this--and in the midst of this wealth of joy, it's so good to just remember that everything that i have has been given to me...i didn't earn or deserve any of it myself. that is SO amazing =) Thanks, God. =)
