Hello Again

I know it's been ages since I've been here, but my dreams have been far-and-few-in-between. The few small ones I've remembered I've been able to understand or they just haven't felt hugely important. The one I woke from this morning on the other hand left me feeling quite confused

When a city forms in your dreams, it can have a lot of connection to the archetypal village. The home within you, your soul if you will. The place that is the home to all your inner archetypes: The orphan, the shadow, the wise woman, the virgen, the warrior. The walking into the elevators shows your acceptance of walking into a portal of change in your inner world, since you spoke of walking into the building before stepping into the portal.It shows a lot that you rode the elevator up and then down. Riding up shows that you needed to connect with something in your outer mind. That you need to learn something about how you react in the outer world, maybe some sort of judgement that you make, or a reaction. When I dream of this, it is mostly showing me a way that I react that I think it based on others, but it truely something within myself.Riding the elevator down shows you taking that teaching into your inner world. Descending into you.It is interesting that you first removed your clothes, which normally could show that you are removing a role that you used to play, or a persona that you used to wear. Removing role dependancy and persona addiction is normally a very painful process in your inner world. But after you accomplished this, you placed on another role or persona. Maybe this shows that you are choosing to wear a new face in your life that will better allow you to carry on on your journey.When your uncle appeared in the dream, it shows that possibly you feel the need to play a certain role within your family that is very structured and allows you little freedom. When your uncle showes you the bar tab, this could symbolize that even though you have worn this persona for a short while, it is harming you and draining your inner world. The surprising part was that even though your actions (though they may be done with good intentions) are causing you inner harm, you still 'downed the soft drink'. You continued to drink the poison that made you sick. The last part of your dream was so full of meaning that it jumped me off my seat!!! You ran out of the building. Since you changed your face to the outer world, you ran home (without confronting the problem of how to change you inner world). When you returned, and were reborn to the outer world (on your birthday), you expected to be presented with gifts from others. When someone ones from something in their inner world, they very rarely seek the feel their inner world sustain them, they don't realize that the gifts for a true inner world birth can only come from you. You want these gifts from your family and friends. This makes sense since you changed your face for your family at the expense of something in your inner world. When the gifts arrive, you have a hard time carrying them and again need help from a male figure in your family. This isn't some lesson in femminism! Male family figures in my dreams most times represent needing help from the family in the form of structure, and security. Though this seems nice, it runs contrary to the nature of women, which is based in chaos.

You mentioned that most of the tool gifts were for your finace. Tools hold meaning in themselves. They symbolize someone taking an action or learning an action to help themselves grow and change. That these were for your soon to be husband ( another male force in your dream), this could meen simply that your marriage could be offering him the tools to change and grow in some way. But more so, they could symbolize that your own ability to grow and change as a woman is placed yet again in the hands of an outer world focus of structure and masculine energy.In my own life, this relates to a dream that showed me that I was having trouble with my inner world and decided to fall back on my father for stability.But this is not growth.This dream showed you on an immense journey!!
You had a trouble in your outer world that was based on your family. You were playing a part for them that was costing you dearly in your inner world. So you travled inside and shed this skin, only to change into another skin that relied on the structure of your family. You chose to keep doing what hurt you before.You then went back into the outer world, and placed the energy to grow and change into yet another outer force of structure, that hurt you to begin with.When you found the last box wrapped in cloth in your mailbox, this was a message to your soul from the outer world. This could be a lesson that there is something in your outer world, hidden behind your family and stability, that is a true gift for your inner woman. Something that you have to dig for among all those expectations that you place in your family and your plans for the future.
