Stand Up

So I don't know if you are a music lover, or a Dave Matthews Band fan but, my best friend is a huge fan so I bought the new album "Stand Up" on its actual release date....
Do you remember when you were really small and someone in class acted up and everyone was punished for it? I remember countless days of sitting in a dark classroom having to wait until everyone was silent until we could go out to recess. Well...apparently some things don't change...
Thanks to millions of people who abuse copyright protected works, millions more will have to suffer. DMB album Stand Up has a MediaMax software component that does not allow you to upload the CD onto programs like iTunes. You can play the CD on you computer, if you first agree to download some crap my MediaMax...even then, no iTunes music. Now I can't blame DMB, because this could very well be a label enforced move...however it's annoying. It's REALLY annoying. And I'm not blaming downloaders either, after all I acted up when I was young too...I got 2 check marks by my name on my birthday (and threatened with a third, which means they call your parents)..and I have to thank the relentless students, who rip CDs non-stop, as a way of pissing on the label execs and giving them the middle finger, because it is those student who can tell me exactly how to override this copyright protected crap so I can listen for to the music I actually paid for.
By the way, if you do buy the album, hold Shift before entering it into your computer to turn off the autorun. I hear thats the solution. Or you can google "rip DMB Stand" or something like that and look for other options. :)
Its a good thing I like Dave so much, esp certain songs on this album or I'd be inclined to hate him. RCA...BMG...you all better clean up your act.
