Computer problems

Ugh...Yesterday my computer wouldn't start for some reason but then it started to work out of the blue. I was afraid it'd happen again today and it did. Thankfully my friend has a laptop so I could use hers to fix my computer. There's something wrong with the registry (which I didn't know about before) so now I'm trying to fix that. Hopefully it'll work because I don't want to have to reinstall the system again or worse, get a new computer. I can't afford to get one and I don't want to hog my friend's laptop. Eventually I'll get a new computer though because this one is about 5 years old. If this doesn't work, I guess I'll get a netbook for the time being. It's sad how addicted I am to using the computer/internet. lol My grandma just doesn't understand. :-P
